Subaru is one of the most popular car manufacturers in the Pacific Northwest, and in the world in general. A Subaru vehicle is perfectly suited for the Pacific Northwest lifestyle. They produce all-wheel drive cars built to explore the outdoors, and they also build more family-oriented vehicles with an emphasis on performance and safety.

Subaru is famous for producing extremely reliable and durable vehicles that can deal with any kind of weather. They rarely break down, but when they do it can be an expensive problem to deal with. A Brief History of Subaru

Subaru is the vehicle manufacturing sector of the Fuji Heavy Industries transportation conglomerate. The conglomerate started in 1917 as an airplane research lab, and soon expanded into airplane production.

After WWII, Subaru used spare airplane parts to manufacture a scooter vehicle, called the Fuji Rabbit. The first Subaru car, the Subaru 1500, was made in 1954. For the next 15 or 20 years, Subaru specialized in building small cars. By the 1970’s the company made plans to introduce larger and more traditional passenger cars. After the success of its new line of vehicle models, Subaru introduced the Outback in 1995 with a huge advertising campaign. The Outback was a popular alternative to SUVs, as it had the off-road capabilities of an SUV combined with the comfort of a wagon. Subaru is the only car company that offers standard all-wheel drive for almost all of its models.

Subaru has carved a niche for itself in the automobile market, and has gained a kind of a “cult” following, especially in the Pacific Northwest and the Northeastern United States.
