Customer Reviews

I have been coming to K & M for years and I can’t say enough good things about them. Jackie and Sue (in the front) are the best: so knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. Most importantly, they are honest. They tell me when I can save money by doing things myself or if I can put off a repair while I save money. Sometimes I am lucky and they even have a free loaner car I use while my repairs are being done.

Countless times they have extended themselves above and beyond what most businesses do. If they have the option to help they do and my bill has been less than expected on more than one occasion.

As a person who doesn’t have an extensive knowledge of car mechanics, I value having a mechanic shop that I trust and believe. I’ll always take my cars to them! I’m a customer for life.

K & M Auto Service is a freaking life saver (ok a little over dramatic but they are awesome)!! So my car broke down yesterday, by the grace of God right as I was pulling into my parking spot at work. It sputtered out stalled and died 🙁 Some of you know my car has had some issues this past year, but a super awesome friend of mine has always been able to figure it out. This time there were no obvious things wrong, so I had to have it towed to a shop. I have never used K & M before but heard good things and they are really close to my house. So they diagnosed (EGR stuck open, tail light and oil needed changed) they called me and stayed after hours to help me with financing. And here it is noon today and everything is done and ready to go and I didn’t get it to them until late yesterday afternoon! Great experience in a sucky situation. Long story short if you need any sort of auto repair or oil change etc. Go To kandmautoservice.com And please show them some love and like their Facebook page too 🙂 facebook.com/kandmauto

Customer Reviews

First time trying this shop out, I went in for an oil change and a tune-up as well a diagnosis for a stalling issue I was experiencing in my Mazda 3. The prices were reasonable and the staff I interacted with were friendly and not pushy at all about extra repairs.

They fixed the stalling issue, but a few hours after I picked my car up, my check engine light came on. Here’s where K&M set themselves apart. They determined the check engine light was caused by my catalytic converter and replaced it for free. No questions asked.

Now my car is running great and I will be taking it to them again whenever I need more work.

Auto Maintenance FAQs

How often should I get my oil changed?
For conventional oil, three months or every 3,000 miles. For synthetic, six months or 5,000 miles. In order to know when the best time to get your oil changed is, check the owner’s manual of your specific model for manufacturer-recommended intervals.
How do I inspect my vehicle's disc brakes?
It depends on whether or not you have to remove the wheel to do so. You need to inspect your brake rotors, then your brake pads. Allow us to check your brakes for you while your car is in for an oil change.
How do I check my oil?
First, pop the hood and look for the oil dipstick. Once you have located the dipstick, take it out of the tube and clean it with a rag, then insert it back into the tube. When you pull the dipstick out this time, check to see how much oil you have. To check the condition of your oil, rub a tiny bit between your thumb and index finger. If it seems dirty or smells like gas, it is probably time to have it changed.
How do I change my windshield wipers?
There is usually a tab or similar feature that makes taking off old blades very straightforward and easy. Just pull the entire wiper arm away from the windshield of your car until it locks in the upright position. Then push the tab and slide the blades right off. Be careful when the rubber blades are removed; the metal arms are spring loaded and can scratch or crack your windshield if you aren’t careful. Once you have the old wipers off, you can install the new ones. Line up the new wiper blades with the metal wiper arms until you are confident that the placement is correct. Make sure the wiper blade is secure (you should know if you hear it "click" into place) on the wiper arm otherwise it could fly off during a downpour. If your windshield is streaky when your wipers are in use, you need new wipers. Let a service writer know when your car is in with us so we can get new wipers on there.
